FTS Resolve is working on the Streamlining Hoddle Street Project
FTS Resolve is pleased to announce that we’ve partnered with major construction company Fulton Hogan, to deliver the next stage of the Major Road Projects Authority’s Streamlining Hoddle Street project. Our team is already hard at work on the project, which will ease congestion and improve traffic flow for over 330,000 people who travel along Hoddle Street and Punt Road every day. We’re excited to be working closely with our partner Fulton Hogan on this significant project.
About the Streamlining Hoddle Street project
The Streamlining Hoddle Street project is one of several significant road projects being driven by the Victorian government body: the Major Road Projects Authority. It’s one of many projects to fall under Victoria’s Big Build – Victoria’s biggest ever transport program.
This major project is set to improve the traffic on Hoddle Street and Punt Road with extensive redesigns of key intersections. A new ‘continuous flow intersection’ will be introduced at Swan Street, as well as new dedicated turning lanes, which will ease congestion and improve the journey of many road users along Punt Road. It is a project that will have a positive impact for many Victorians.
FTS’ involvement
Fulton Hogan is the Major Road Projects Authority’s construction contractor on this project, and our project managers and operations team has worked closely with them, investing a significant amount of time in both the planning, preparation and execution phases. This has ensured that the i’s have been dotted and the t’s crossed, working towards a successful project delivery.
We’re proud to be working with our trusted partner Fulton Hogan on this project, with the collaboration yielding great results for both parties. It will deliver a significant upgrade to the Victorian transport system, which will benefit millions of road users every week.
What FTS services are being delivered?
Our directional drilling crew is working hard towards its goal – often in challenging conditions at night and in rock ground conditions. Our end goal is to enable the installation of underground conduit, which in turn will allow electrical and network cable to be installed. This cabling is vital to ensuring the day-to-day operation of traffic lights and signalling, and delivering real-time communication back to the VicRoads Traffic Management Centre (TMC).
Our expertise, both in terms of talent (our team) and capabilities, have been applied on this project to their fullest.
